Which body do you want to build?

At Intense Gains I
advocate high intensity training (HIT)as the most efficient manner to build muscle
mass. The principle idea is that intensity and duration are inversely proportional; that
muscle by its very nature can either perform hard or perform long, it cannot do
both.

Transformation: My top 5 tips for dramatic fat
loss!

Transformation is a very specific and difficult undertaking which
refers to the process of dropping 20+ kilograms of body fat in a 12 month period. It is
a big push endeavour that is required to turn around a body that is physically and
aesthetically at rock bottom.

Eat Less, Train Harder

You cannot out train a bad diet. The human
body is an incredibly efficient machine that was designed to survive famines and
make the most of whatever calories were available before the agricultural age
created caloric abundance. If you are looking to alter your body composition you
need to start taking note of your calorie consumption.

Tell the Truth, Build Muscle

After a decade of lifting its becomeincreasingly clear that building muscle is a very simple process but telling the truth is
hard. After a decade plus of lifting my workout routines have become increasingly
simple and my volume has decreased to the point I only complete one working set
per exercise and my total training time per week is around the 60 minute
mark.

WHAT IS HIGH
INTENSITY TRAINING?

HIT as its commonly abbreviated is a system of muscle building which traces its roots back to Arthur Jones the founder of Nautilus Fitness Equipment a company whose success had placed Jones on the Forbes top 400 wealth list; Jones’ son also went on to found Hammer Strength.

Arthur, apart from being a successful entrepreneur, was a huge contributor to exercise philosophy and his central contribution was the idea that exercise in order to stimulate muscle must be intense and brief; advocating a single set per exercise to failure and no more than three sessions per week in the gym. This radical idea stood in firm contrast to the Volume training systems popularised by Arnold Schwarzenegger and the Weider Magazine Empire.

Arthur’s ideas influenced a slew of famous bodybuilders who were at various times under his tutelage; including Casey Viator, Eddie Robinson, Sergio Oliva, Mike Mentzer and Dorian Yates who used HIT principles to win six Mr Olympia titles with training only 4 days per week, 1 working set per exercise across 1-5 exercises per body part..

It was Mike Mentzer (79 +200Ib Mr Olympia) however, that made the greatest contribution to HIT in terms of refining and synthesising the broad ideas into a highly detailed philosophy that has never been rivalled by other muscle intellects.

Intense Gains is the new modern face of HIT training and it is bringing a new level of professionalism to a brilliant intelligent training system deeply in need of a facelift. The writings of Mike Mentzer can be very difficult to digest but luckily for you, Intense Gains has undertaken the enormous task of distilling the heavy texts of Mike Mentzer into easy to understand video and website friendly material so that the average punter can get training and start making immediate and continuing muscle gains whilst on the path to their muscular potential.

We are here to teach powerful ideas that will serve people with normal genetics and normal time constraints to reach their potential without having to give up excessive days and hours in the gym. We hope you enjoy our HIT Primer and you are stimulated to an our website and go really deep on the HIT training system which will unleash Intense Gains!
